How does EZ DuctPatch® work?During recommended air duct cleaning, it is often necessary for a service access point to be cut so that air duct cleaning tools can reach portions of the duct work. The EZ DuctPatch® provides a safe and efficient means for sealing that access point. Once in place, no additional holes need to be made in that location, meaning that future cleaning is faster and more cost effective: the patch need only be temporarily removed to expose the access point. Use of both a sealant and screws ensures that an air tight seal is maintained for the long term, ultimately saving money by maintaining strong airflow pressure without any leaks. |
Why should we use EZ DuctPatch®?The EZ DuctPatch® is designed to serve the same purpose as a traditional metal patch and foil tape application, but at a lower cost, and with safer, faster and easier labor. EZ DuctPatch® is considerably lighter than metal patches, meaning that shipping costs will be lower -- particularly on large orders! Furthermore, no sharp edges are present on an EZ DuctPatch®, meaning its application will be safer. It even comes with 7 pre-drilled holes intended for metal screws, which secure the patch in addition to sealant. |

Yes! The EZ DuctPatch® is intended to be reinstalled following subsequent duct cleaning.
Simply detach the EZ DuctPatch® from the duct system by removing the metal screws. Once duct cleaning is complete, peel off the previous bead of sealant from the backside of the patch and apply new sealant in its place. Finally, re-secure the patch using the metal screws just like before.
The EZ DuctPatch® ships in denominations of 25. The minimum quantity available for ordering is 25, which totals approximately 7 pounds (112 ounces).
We recommend a water-based Mastic® air duct sealant.
While fashioning your own metal patches might seem to be cost effective, you should consider the larger picture. Even under the best circumstances, sheet metal is notorious with regards to bodily injury.
Cutting and handling entire rolls of this material raises this risk exponentially. Should one of your team members cut themselves, this can lead to costly workman's compensation claims and loss of available jobsite personnel at the very least. If such an injury is serious enough, this could even lead to lawsuits.
